- Roasted Chicken 4/5
This gem is found in the heart of Chinatown, Singapore. Right opposite Hong Lim Complex, you can find Chiew Kee Noodle House situated a stone's throw away from Hotel 81.
As the name suggests, the eatery prides herself for their noodles. However, their roasted chicken is to die for. Locals are willing to queue up for it even if it has to take half an hour!
The roasted chicken is usually chopped and served on a aromatic plate of dark soy sauce. However, the chicken is not salty but succulent and flavourful upon chowing down a slice of meat.
If you are not a fan of noodles, you can also order rice or dumpling soup to go along.
Service is quick even though if you decide to dine in. But try to avoid lunch hours as it is really crowded and may take you by surprise.
A plate of half chicken costs $13.
Operating Hours: 9 am to 7 pm (Closed on Fri & Public Holiday)
